Some virus has been keeping me in its grip for the past week or so. Stomach flu is not exactly pretty, especially when it keeps on lingering. Instead of diving in like I normally do, every mealtime I now pause at our gorgeous buffet, wondering: Can I stomach this? The people in the YDC all seem to be quite tired too, so I guide them through a mellow class of lotus pose, with a long self-massage and visualisation. I am pleased to learn it was like starting the day with a private spa treatment.
Feeling sorry for myself, I turn to materialistic comforts. My big Ganesh is now up the wall and through clever swapping of furniture items, my room is cosy, spacious and inviting. And it better be, for I plan to spend some more time in bed soon. Watching Once Upon a Time fairytales, reading Water for Elephants and sipping some tea. I guess I might just be using abdominal pain as a way of indulging myself in reflection day pleasures. Oh well, let's reflect on that some other day...
At our Second Bhajan Blast I don't cry, and even dance a bit. |
The body takes the time it needs. Being sick is like a practice in itself... so much can come up. I know you'll be well soon because you're in a great place.
